I am sadden to hear of Anne’s passing. It seems like yesterday we were enjoying a lively discussion and dinner. Anne, May the joy and goodness you shared on earth be revealed to you in its fullness in heaven. With fond memories, Judith Merkle

Anne was a most helpful participant in a number of conferences on science and theology. She was a gentle but substantive critic of my own work and that of others. And, above all, she was a kind and generous friend.

Anne was such a good friend and such a skilled, thoughtful theologian. I recall that when we had a consultation at Notre Dame in 2009 on the changing contours of teaching theology, with about forty department chairs and DGS's participating, I needed a good keynote speaker to give us a sense of the landscape. She was an obvious choice, and she did a spectacular job--hit it out of the ballpark. May the angels welcome her into paradise.

Anne was a wonderful colleague for many years at Duquesne University. She provided me with invaluable mentoring and friendship, with warm support and savvy know-how on university life. While a noted scholar in demand in many quarters, she was always at heart a passionate and expert teacher who loved awakening the desire for theological learning in students at every university level. She will be greatly missed.
