I am grateful to have known Greg for several years. He was a man who took seriously the integration of personal holiness and theological study. He loved to bring people together and he was someone who modeled dialogue in a polarized time. I so appreciated his enthusiasm for the fathers, for Thomas Merton, and for Wendell Berry whom he befriended. I am grateful to Greg for bringing together a group of Louisville area theologians for conversation with the Archbishop, a group that met consistently for several years. I am also grateful for Greg's witness of faithful marriage and dedicated fatherhood. He will be very missed.
