Bishop and Theologians Reading Groups: This year members are once again invited to organize small local reading groups to meet with at least one local bishop, to study and discuss a mutually chosen theological text, possibly in the context of a shared meal. The board will fund up to ten such groups for a maximum of $500 each; the funds are meant to cover the cost of books and dinner. We suggest that groups choose a classic theological text or perhaps the recent papal encyclical, Laudato Sí, for discussion. Groups are asked to submit a request for funding for the board consideration by October 1, that will include 1) the names of the participants; and 2) the text(s) that you will be discussing. The proposals can be e-mailed to the CTSA President at president.ctsa@gmail.com. The board will consider applications and make approvals during the Board’s fall meeting later in October.
